What's going on in my life? Depressingly little, usually. Still find out about it here...

19.2.00 Began work on this site. Easier than it looks, this web page lark

21.2.00 Forget that. This is tough stuff. The file upload is constantly putting the deleted pages where I want the new stuff to go. Ring Jonathan, a computer expert, for advice.

23.2.00 Up and running, in basic form, at least. Not very impressive, but not bad for a first attempt.

24.2.00 Went round to Jonathan's to see Matt off. He's going to Egypt for the weekend, as you do. He's promised to bring me back a fez. Yay. And some Egyptian water, as it contains more life forms than a gallon of sea monkeys.

25.2.00 Adding new information to website tonight. Due to lack of friends in London this weekend, probably be touring the web, window wound down, making rude gestures at the Internet police.

Jonathan coaches Diana for her entry into the 'All Enfield' face pulling contest...

26.3.00 Anyone who's been in regular contact will know that I broke my arm a few weeks back, hence the long break between updates. it's a week to Wrestlemania, and six days until Maria's party. That should be a top weekend, as well as being the first weekend of the Easter holidays. The last chance I have to let go for about two months. Come June the 1st, Its three months of P-A-R-T-Y? Because I gotta...

20.5.00 It's only been 7 weeks since I updated. Not too bad considering I was in a cast for four of them, and my wrist was still stiff as heck for the next fortnight. So, not a lot's happened of late. I've got exams coming up, but that's old news, except here, where it is obviously new news. Anyway, enough twaddle. The real point is to say I've got myself a new web domain. No longer the tortuous process of typing in the full chattown prefix. I'll soon be moving to much shorter named home. Hopefully. It does involve me developing some computer skills. Uh, Jonathan, how much do you charge an hour?

25.5.00 Matt and I have booked 12 tickets for Party in the Park. We have about ten people coming already, so if anyone else want's to lay claim to a ticket, you know who to get in touch with. Full list of those going so far: Myself, Deborah Chalk, Matt Lambe, Tom Holbourn and Sharmilla, Lucy O'Brien, Michael Cannon, Jason Andre and Gerry Gay. Diana Ress will probably come too, but not definite yet.

30.5.00 So I've got an exam tomorrow. I'm sick to the back teeth with revision, truly I am. Instead, I feel it's time to do a little updating of everyone's favourite website (that's this one.)

20.6.00 Time on my hands today. I'm back from Cambridge, and England are on the brink of qualifying for the Q/F's of Euro 2000. I must look for a job tomorrow, but tonight I can relax.

29.6.00 The full list of bands for party in the Park has been announced. It is:

Chicane (with Bryan Adams): 'Don't Give Up' is the big song. Adams will also be doing a live version of 'When You're Gone' with Melanie C

5ive (with Queen): 5ive will be performing their version of 'We Will Rock You', which Matt and Jay will doubtless hate. They're also likely to perform 'Keep On Movin' the excellent disco number from the tail end of last year.

Christina Aguilera: Tipped to sit next to Prince William, will she see this as another chance to put one over on Britney Spears? Will perform 'Genie in a Bottle' which should cheer up Matt no end.

Craig David: We weren't impressed with 'Rewind', cos it was played too much, but 'Fill Me In' and his new song, 'Seven Days' should help us forgive him.

Savage Garden: My favourite band at the moment, and I'm looking forward to seeing them live. Best known for 'Truly, Madly, Deeply' and 'I Knew I Loved You', true to form, I'm looking forward to hearing some of their lesser known songs.

All Saints: We all know who these girls are. Will they show clips from 'Honest' on the screen? And if so, which clips?

Bon Jovi: Mainstream rock don't come much better. 'Blaze of Glory', 'Always', and 'It's My Life' should please the crowd.

True Steppers: DJ's to the stars. Appearing in collaboration with Victoria Beckham and Another Level's Dane

Backstreet Boys/Elton John: Surprise guests, apparently doing a collaboration, which should be slightly interesting...

Kylie Minogue: Back on top this week, after a ten year wait. Will she be 'Spinning Around,' or will we be privileged to hear 'I Should Be So Lucky

Sisqo: Let me see that tttthhhhoooonnnnngggg....

Sonique: The Party in the Park theme artist with 'Feel So Good.'

Gabrielle: 'When A Woman', 'Rise', but hopefully not 'Sunshine Through My Window'.

Melanie C: Let's just hope she sticks to 'Northern Star' and 'Never Be The Same Again'. Her first single was abject. Her next single is called 'Turn To You,' the same as Christina Aguilera's new song. Catfight?

Westlife: 'Flying Without Wings' suggests an intriguing possibility involving Westlife's tour bus, and a very steep cliff.

The Corrs: Cool, cool, cool, cool, cool. I love the Corr's, even Blokey Corr. Pleasssse play 'Runaway'

Billie Piper: 'Day & Night' was a cool song. Will we be treated to performances of her earlier songs?

David Gray: Cool song called 'Babylon' out now. Problem with this is he can either do just that song, or put out some other stuff to zero reaction.

Stephen Gately: 'A New Beginning' is not about his coming out, okay? Sheesh... Should get a huge pop off the crowd.

Steps: My version of the 'Tragedy' dance routine is the proper Step's one. I shall try not to look too smug. Will they collaborate with Kylie on 'Better The Devil You Know?'

Alice Deejay: 'Want You Back In My Life' is the big song.

Artful Dodger: 'Rewind' with Craig David, plus other collaborations are likely.

Moloko: 'Bring It Back,' has been possibly the biggest club song of the last six months. 'Course, by the time it was released commercially, almost everyone had bought the vinyl. Oh well.

Texas: Another act likely to receive a huge pop. 'Summer Son' was their last hit. Shame I can't remember any of the other's. one of them had a cool video. Does that help?

Ronan Keating: Biggest reaction of the day likely here. Will he do any Boyzone stuff? Will he sing with Stephen Gately? So long as he does 'When You Say Nothing At All,' which has some fine memories attached, I'll be happy.

Destiny's Child: Sexy, sassy soulful R n B act. I'm stumped for any of their songs, however. They're okay, but something of a card filler, in my opinion.

Travis: The biggest thing to come out of Scotland since, well ever. BIG at the moment. 'Turn' and Why Does It Always Rain On Me,' are two of the big hits.

Dum Dums: Never heard of them? You will have. The fantastic 'Can't Get You Out Of My Mind' will be a huge hit this summer.

22.7.00 We did Party in the Park, and it was wet. I got my exam results, and I failed one, so resits beckon. Not quite where I wanted to be at this time. Still, later today I head off to Kintbury for a week of hedonistic fun, and wild all night parties. Terence and Judith looked very strange when they gave me the brochure, but I'm sure everything will be fine.

...but in an all-Toolan final, Terence is forced to turn away in defeat as Jonathan confirms his status as master

2.8.00 Back from Kintbury, and settled back into routine. Revision continues to suck, but c'est la vie. Michal has returned from the land of no beer, women, or artistic images, and seems relaxed, calm and cool. That he now has a copy of Perfect Dark may also have something to do with it.

20.8.00 I have Jay to thank for supplying me with a copy of Microsoft Front Page. Thanks Jay. This website is back on line, and will once again be the subject of regular updates. For those of you actually looking for news (weirdoes) both Andrew and Clare excelled themselves in their A-Levels (well done), Lucy is sunning herself in Greece (jammy), Jude is off to the Sion community for a year (sniff), and Jay has just taken me off roading in his dad's Range Rover. I'm a happy bunny.

26.8.00 Successfully pulled off the joke of the year. Scared Matt, angered Diana, earned a tutting from Jay. All in all, a thoroughly successful day, capping a memorable week in which I looked at middle class past times and decided to stick to beer and skittles. Oh, and Michal and myself spent hours killing one another. As you do.

31.8.00 As a consequence of various domestic issues, too numerous to mention, news is a little sparse at the moment. Still and all, it's Jonathan's 27th birthday today, so happy birthday Mr. Jaybob. Hope you got what you really, really, wanted. Other than a whole day with Maria, obviously. Just noticed it's more than 3 months since I declared my intention to move to www.majick.org.uk Sadly, it's as bare now as it ever has been. Until I get a decent web page publisher, it's not going to happen, sadly. Any computer bods care to make a suggestion?

5.9.00 Exam done, a lazy, sober, night at Jonathan's, two interviews before the end of the week. I have a busy week.

12.9.00 Hey, for the first time, ever, it's exactly a week between updates. That's something I've been trying to achieve since forever. Anyway, to bring you all up to date, I'm now taking the next year out from university, to get some experience working in Barnet Borough Council's planning department. Sadly, it's an unpaid position, but it's good experience, and will look great on the CV.

28.9.00 That lasted a long time, huh? There hasn't been a great deal of news to report, really, so no worries. Still, I'm four days into my placement now and things are good. Very weird, however, as there's a host of lookalikes, although, as ever, I'm sure I'd be the only person who'd get any of them.

3.10.00 Very weird to be logging on here with no real news to report, but my placement continues to go well. I am suddenly indispensable in the office, if only because I'm the quickest at finding files in the labyrinthine basement benath Barnet Civic Centre. Other than that, there is little to report. Michal had, I believe, his driving test yesterday, but probably didn't pass (if so, welcome to the club). Lucy and Michael are preparing to re-enter university life after extended summer breaks. Matt has been AWOL for the last two weeks, but is occasionally reported as being alive. Jay is alive, well and paid me to help with a disco on Saturday night. Eejit. Everyone seems to be well, which, of course, is great news. Even I am allowing myself a cautious optimism. Will wonders never cease?

23.10.00 Apologies for the delay in writing more stuff for the site. I really would like to put new stuff on here regularly, and have lot's of new and exciting stuff to report. I really would. However, my life isn't quite that cool. Instead, what I have is a very little news regarding my whereabouts over the past few days. I was in Leeds with Terence, playing computer games and dancing with many lovely young ladies. Which was fun. Anyhow, I've just done a fairly big update of the site, so enjoy having a look around, spotting what's new, trying to find the hidden page, and so on.

1.11.00 You must have noticed that the site address has changed. Yay! I'm finally at a half decent webspace. no censorship, fewer ads, and a much, much shorter address. My fingers thank me.

On a separate note, Saturday saw the engagement party of Matt and Diana. Jay and myself (mostly Jay) dj'd, and the whole thing went superbly. There was nary a dry eye in the house when Matt and Diana danced to 'their' song. *Sniff*

10.11.00 I'm tired, upset, and frustrated. Typical of me, then, that I choose not to go out and get drunk, or cry on the shoulder of a friend, or whatever. No. I spread it all over my website. Actually, I'm not that bad, but most of you won't even care about that. All I shall really say is that a few things have been sorted of late. Firstly, there is to be no Kintbury reunion at the Toolan's this year, apparently. Secondly, the New Year's bash, is again to be held at Gerry's. All people on the Friend's page are invited (even Gerry) and I dare say if anyone from Kintbury cares to drop by for the bash, they'll be made welcome.

17.11.00 Only the second time ever I've managed to update at seven day intervals, but I'm not planning on making a habit of it. I'd like to think I have better things to do on my Friday nights. Big changes are the separation of the men's and women's perfections to their own page, so as not to confuse Matt and Jay, and the addition of Clare and Jo to the friends section, a long overdue alteration. Oh, and you now get to read my Rogue Squadron fan fiction, as well as my top recommendation of all the other pieces out there.

19.11.00 A minor update, to include the facetious reworking of God's creation of mankind, Earth and the universe and reintroduce the questions page. Also to correct some of the more noticeable spelling/grammatical errors.

22.11.00 Very bored at work, so here's four new songs for you all, plus a new feature in the friends section

24.11.00 The now traditional Friday night update. *Sigh* I should just go and crash Eros, except it's not very good on Fridays. I could go to the cinema, but there's nothing on. I'm even having a friend do some surrogate flirting for me, but I don't think it'll be the same. *Deeper sigh* I miss all my friends. Roll on Christmas, when I can actually see some of them.

15.12.00 I have a reason to be in on Friday night. I have 'flu. Or a nasty cold, anyway. News? Quite a bit, actually. My modem works! After 18 months of somewhat erratic service, I finally hit on the correct settings to get my modem to work properly. Other than that, back in the real world, myself, Matt G, Katie, Jay, Gerry and Eileen went to see Savage Garden on Monday night. Simply the best night out I've had in months. Slightly worrying, to some of us, was the occasionally camp behaviour of the lead singer. Very strange. Did I mention we had VIP box seats? *Contented sigh*

1.1.01 Well, Happy New Year everyone! Besides that, I'd like to thank Diana and her family for a fine night at their party last night. A general summing up seems in order, and so here we go:

Couples: Diana & Matt, Maria & Jonathan, Cat & Michal, Kirsty & Michael, Jude & John Paul and Fiona & Stuart are the people -officially- playing the dating game as I write this. Good luck to them all this year, especially Fiona and Stu, who are set to marry in May.

University: Michael, Clive, Michal and Tom are all complete their degrees this summer, so good luck to them all.

Other: Off hand, I can't think of any categorical things to say. Instead, I'd like to take this opportunity to wish everyone I know a wonderful year, and to say thank you for making Y2K a thoroughly enjoyable experience.

18.1.01 Welcome back Mike!!! I'm sure that's what you are all thinking. Well, relax, I'm not staying. Not today, anyway. Just popped in to say 'hi', and to tell you all to look out for the major update winging it's way sitewards over the weekend. Basically, there'll be more pictures, maybe some from New Year and Xmas, more pages, more information, just all around more. I'd also like to say a big pre-welcome to Matt Gardner, who, more than anyone did so much to ease my transition from ICQ to MSN Messenger. For all you Hotmail types who don't have me on your lists, add bean_sidh_@hotmail.com to your contact list. Matt will hereby be added to the Friends list sometime over the weekend.

2.2.01 Oops... Never make a promise you can't keep. Part one of the update, a week late, goes up tonight. Hopefully, I'll have pics a plenty tomorrow, as well as some other groovy stuff, including, I hope, the next part in my alterative to the Bible.

19.2.01 I really will get to the Bible at some point. Really. In the meantime, enjoy my new, free, service to you. Read the news, some relevant, some not so relevant, all interesting. Also, check the date at the top of the page, and take the time to wish me and my site a happy 1st birthday. *Wahey!!!*

25.3.01 OK, so I've been busy. I've had my 21st birthday, I've bought my trenchcoat, and I've had a fairly serious opeation. It tires you out, you know? That pretty much covers all the news that's happened in the last few weeks, I think. Oh, yeah, if you ever get the chance to see the musical 'Saucy Jack and the Space Vixens' then go. It's cool.

29.5.01 Christ... Two months, no update. Not good... As for why, well, see the Antilles page and imagine how long it took me to write all those stories, plus a bunch of other stuff I've been doing, that the eagle eyed among you may find on the web. News? Not a great deal. My sister Fiona got married over the bank holiday weekend, which was cool and groovy (and I got to use room service, for the first time in my life :-D ). That's it, really. Maybe.

31.7.01 How is it possible it's been two months since I changed this site at all? It has, none the less, and there's a fair amount of news to impart. I'm out of work, again, but this time I'm not getting paid for sitting around and doing naff all, whereas previously I was not being paid for doing lots. I know which I prefer, even if do miss the people at Barnet.

Secondly, I've just got back from Kintbury. I can justify buying a scanner by saying I'll need it for uni (and I will) but I've bought it now, rather than in two months, because I wanted to put my pic's on the net. Hope you like them, everyone. I'd like to add a big thank you to all who attended this year. I had a truly great time, and hope you all did as well.

21.9.01 The observant among you will notice that, apart from the colour change, I've also ran a spelling check on the site. And about time, as many of you may note. That's the first important thing to note.

Other various good things include my uploading my research project and placement reviews to the site, so if you should ever be *that* bored (Tip: Before reading the project, you want to try putting your hand in a blender and turning it on. It will be much less painful.) then go have a look at them. They are the sole reason I've not been going out so much this summer, and how I hated every moment I spent doing them.

Did I call that a good thing? I'm sorry... My mistake. There's a bunch of good stuff going on at the moment. Jay is holidaying in Malta with Matt Gardner, which is nice for them. His itnerary for this *all inclusive* jaunt includes twelve hours drinking a day, until he's drunk enough to go back to bed.

I stuck up a load of new photos as well. These range from several years old (late '98 is the oldest ones) up to around the time of my birthday party, about six months ago. (I missed celebrating my 21.5th birthday this year...) I hope these'll make up for the probable lack of activity on this site (Hey, who'll notice?) over the next few months. I'm about to move away from home for the first time, so my 'net access may be somewhat limited.

Oh, yeah, and all donations of money are still gratefully received.

31.7.02 Wake up! I'm ba-ack! Oh yes, after ten months of lazin- er, non-access to an Internet ready PC, I'm back with lots of updates. New pages, lots of pictures, and plenty of news.

I've been away to Cyprus and Rhodes since we last talked, as well as Kintbury again. I passed my degree (BSc! Yeah baby!) and am now fully qualified to be a geographer, whatever the hell a geographer does. Possibly something I should have thought about before I took he course, in hindsight...

Anyway, I'm done! I'm ready! I'm looking for work! I have my first interview on Tuesday! Yeah baby!

Have fun looking through the site. I'll try and find a better colour scheme then black-on-white at some point, but the back to basics style appealed more than red and green, which was the other option...
